Golden embroidery is a special tecnique in which golden thread is usedfor the creation of lavish motifs. It was initally used on ceremonial attire at royal courts, in churches and bz noble families, but over time ,and especially in Slavonia and Baranja, golden embroidery became an obligatoryadornment of Croatian folk costumes. With their skilful fingers, embroiderers have created ornaments out of fine threads of great artistic value.
